On Saturday, August 24, Santiam Correctional Institution (SCI) hosted its annual Friends and Family BBQ. By all accounts, it was a huge success!
A total of 300 people attended the event, including adults in custody (AICs), family members, friends, and security staff. Attendees and organizers noticed the positive energy of the day, seeing smiles on everyone’s faces as they visited and interacted in a more laid-back environment. Great weather, tasty BBQ grub, and family fun combined to make this a day to remember for all those who attended.
